This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver nutrition therapy and support to individuals participating in the Over-18 Eating Disorders Program
• Conduct individual sessions with patients
• Lead clinical nutrition groups and applied nutrition sessions, including in vivo food-based interventions
• Provide hands-on assistance during meals and snacks
• Carry out nutrition assessments upon admission, incorporating diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation planning
• Create personalized meal plans that promote nutritional rehabilitation and gradual exposure to avoided and feared foods
• Determine and adjust biologically appropriate weight ranges in collaboration with the treatment team
• Work together with nursing staff and prescribers to monitor medical status, including weights, vital signs, and laboratory results
• Tackle food rules, ritualized eating patterns, compensatory behaviors, avoidance, exercise, movement, and compensatory activities
• Prepare patients for self-sufficient eating at transitional and discharge stages, which includes grocery preparation and restaurant planning
• Guide patients through meal completions, distress, and post-meal cravings
• Relay intake and behavioral observations to the treatment team
• Collaborate with therapists and prescribers to harmonize nutrition and treatment objectives
• Offer nutrition and medical insights during interdisciplinary rounds
• Provide nutrition education to families and support networks
• Coordinate nutrition aftercare transitions with outpatient dietitians and medical professionals
• Assist in documentation required for insurance authorization
• Engage in necessary training, fidelity monitoring, supervision, and consultation
• Complete all mandated treatment documentation
• Contribute to the development and revision of nutrition standards, meal structure, curriculum, and food sourcing practices
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
• Master’s degree in dietetics or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree if licensed before 2024 (required)
• Registered Dietitian credentials from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (required)
• State licensure or certification as mandated for practice
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Dietitian, specifically in the treatment of eating disorders (required)
• Experience in PHP, IOP, residential, or inpatient environments (preferred)
• Operates from a weight-inclusive perspective (preferred)
• Embraces an "all foods fit" philosophy in clinical nutrition (preferred)
• Comfortable delivering nutrition care within a behavioral treatment framework (preferred)
• Capable of adhering to the meal plan during patient distress without negotiating, accommodating, or reassuring (preferred)
• Aware of how concurrent OCD, trauma, and mood symptoms manifest around food, and adjusts strategies accordingly (preferred)
• Comfortable managing medical complexities and escalating medical concerns as necessary (preferred)
• Works within established curricula and fidelity expectations (preferred)
• Functions as an independent clinical discipline while collaborating with therapists as equals (preferred)
• Actively seeks and utilizes supervision and consultation (preferred)
