Registered Dietitian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough nutrition assessments and perform nutrition-focused physical examinations.

• Provide evidence-based nutrition education and counseling to patients, families, staff, and healthcare professionals.

• Assist members in establishing SMART goals through telephone and video consultations.

• Manage workload and complex patient cases independently.

• Coordinate referrals and consultations from various sources.

• Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, exercise physiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Create and oversee nutrition care plans, including enteral and parenteral nutrition support.

• Write nutrition orders in accordance with state regulations where permitted.

• Monitor the progress of members and patients, assess the effectiveness of care plans, and facilitate goal accomplishment.

• Document nutrition-related information in medical records, care plans, and clinical pathways, adhering to regulatory standards.

• Develop nutrition standards of practice, educational materials, and in-service training programs.

• Provide leadership, guidance, mentoring, and support to nutrition services and nursing staff.

• Engage in process improvement, continuous quality enhancement initiatives, and outcome research.

• Participate in special projects, program initiatives, community education, and policy formulation.

• Potentially recruit, train, evaluate, and supervise assigned staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Dietitian.

• Strong experience in inpatient, outpatient, clinic, or wellness environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or equivalent coursework.

• Must be a Registered Dietitian or RD Eligible in accordance with the academic and professional criteria set by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

• Must obtain RD credentials within six months of employment.

• Must maintain current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

• Ongoing registration must be maintained and verified annually.

• Hold current licensure as mandated by state law.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.

• Capability to prioritize assigned patient caseloads.

• Employees in certain behavioral health clinical settings serving children must have an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and retain it throughout employment.

• An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit is required to be signed upon hire for certain behavioral health clinical settings.
