This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Drive the growth of retirement plan sales through collaboration with Financial Professionals, TPAs, RIAs, and DC I/O Firms.
• Advocate for Ascensus product offerings and those of alliance partners.
• Provide guidance and support to Financial Professionals during their prospecting efforts and attend sales meetings as needed.
• Build and sustain effective relationships with Financial Professionals to secure retirement plan business.
• Coordinate wholesaling activities alongside Internal Sales Coordinators and ASC Internals.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technical advancements, and product knowledge.
• Complete management and expense reports, along with any special tasks assigned.
• Conduct at least 60 meetings each month, including 45 with Financial Professionals, and document these meetings in the CRM.
• Maintain a list of the Top 150 Financial Professionals to optimize territory practices and geographic rotation.
• Discuss fiduciary 3(21) solutions, mutual fund share classes, and plan expenses.
• Review operating expenses associated with investment products and service fees.
• Assist current employers and Financial Professionals in retaining existing business.
• Foster relationships with DCIO firms to promote various solutions.
• Participate in final presentations as necessary.
• Safeguard, secure, and appropriately manage confidential Ascensus and client information.
• Uphold the organizational culture and core values of Ascensus.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• 7-10 years of experience in the retirement plan sector or 3-5 years in a wholesaling capacity within the retirement plan industry.
• Demonstrated success in sales of comprehensive defined contribution recordkeeping and administrative services.
• Willingness to travel overnight as required.
• Exceptional time management skills are essential.
• Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced, unsupervised setting.
• Series 6 and 63 licenses (or the capability to obtain them within six months of employment).
• Strong and comprehensive knowledge of ERISA and plan design.
• Capable of discussing industry trends with high-end, DC-focused Financial Professionals.
• Ability to learn about various platform and product solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
