Regional Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Propel regional and territorial growth for Colonial Life by collaborating with sales leaders and home office stakeholders.

• Formulate and execute strategies, systems, tools, and programs that enhance performance.

• Provide virtual and in-market training and development support to core teams and the wider sales organization.

• Assess training requirements and devise targeted strategies for new sales, recruitment, existing block growth, broker development, agency building, and the adoption of strategic initiatives.

• Advocate for the rollout and acceptance of new enterprise capabilities, systems, and resources.

• Create and implement onboarding programs for core team members.

• Partner with stakeholders to guarantee a meaningful onboarding experience.

• Enhance skills and support Territory Sales Trainers (TSTs).

• Deliver content within Colonial Life’s training and development framework.

• Supervise, design, and execute comprehensive onboarding processes for core teams.

• Develop and present ongoing TST training on essential topics, tools, and capabilities.

• Promote the adoption of strategic investments, tools, and resources through training forums and regional practices.

• Train TSTs and field leaders on new enterprise capabilities and strategic initiatives.

• Develop and spearhead the rollout of training content, curricula, and learning experiences.

• Evaluate territory performance and training implementation, offering recommendations for enhancements.

• Conduct training sessions aligned with Colonial Life’s training framework and development systems.

• Ensure consistent execution of essential core team systems.

• Analyze developmental and business needs and propose customized solutions.

• Track training effectiveness, assess results, and refine strategies.

• Mentor newly onboarded core team members.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, business, training and development, or a related field, along with 7+ years of relevant professional experience.

• A minimum of 7 years of formal training delivery experience is highly preferred.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 60%-80% of the time.

• Strong leadership capabilities with the aptitude to engage in cross-organizational partnerships, solve problems, and influence others.

• Competence in facilitating challenging meetings and encouraging creative thinking and problem-solving.

• Strong technical skills and analytical abilities.

• Eagerness and capability to learn new systems, tools, and capabilities while promoting their adoption.

• Ability to anticipate and recommend digital enhancements.

• Capacity to serve as a peer leader and mentor.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to analyze and synthesize raw data into comprehensive reports and strategy-oriented recommendations.

• Consensus builder with a business partner mindset.

• Familiarity with the sales process and effective communication with sales representatives, sales managers, and home office content experts.

• Strategic thinker capable of translating strategy into actionable steps.

• Ability to collaborate with all levels of sales and home office management.

• Must be willing to reside in the assigned region or near the Colonial Life Home Office.

• Proven ability to lead change initiatives.
