This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Enhance profitable sales within a specified geographic region by servicing and cultivating customer relationships, focusing on major and target accounts.
• Investigate and address customer issues and complaints effectively.
• Clearly define and educate prospective clients about the company's functions and capabilities.
• Monitor and report on industry trends to company leadership.
• Identify key buying influences and build strong relationships with both existing and prospective customers.
• Create a market strategy for the territory that includes measurable goals, objectives, action plans, and benchmarks.
• Support inside sales with special accounts and/or projects as needed.
• Assist credit managers when required.
• Schedule and execute sales calls and/or visits.
• Assess customer product usage and business unit involvement.
• Conduct training sessions on products and services for customers and business unit employees.
• Track pricing deviations and report significant occurrences and trends to management.
• Convey customer product and quality requirements to inside sales and operations teams.
• Suggest additions or removals to the product catalog and company services.
• Initiate and oversee E-item inventory needs.
• Propose current or potential advertising strategies.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of company products, services, and procedures.
• Keep the customer database current and accurate.
• Download, review, and follow up on quotes on a daily basis.
• Review daily sales activities for customer acknowledgments and order evaluations.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• At least 1 year of experience in public/customer interaction.
• Minimum of 1 year in sales experience.
• Strong safety mindset.
• Completion or pursuit of a four-year degree in sales, business, or marketing is preferred.
• 3-5 years of sales experience is preferred.
• Metallurgy training and/or experience is preferred.
• Experience in public speaking is preferred.
• Proficient in computer usage is preferred.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing, which may include testing for marijuana.
• Ability to work directly with or around motor vehicle equipment.
