Regional Supplier Quality Manager – Aeroderivative Gas Turbines

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the Supplier Quality Engineering team for the AMERICAS region, focusing on Aero GT supplier quality.

• Enhance supplier quality for Package, MSD, BOP, and Main Engine equipment.

• Collaborate with sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, and project management to ensure exceptional project execution.

• Oversee supplier product qualification, audits, surveillance, quality issue resolution, and root cause analyses.

• Guarantee timely and budget-compliant delivery that meets customer quality standards and Supplier Quality KPIs.

• Formulate and implement a global supply-chain strategy for the Aero domain in the Americas.

• Manage and cultivate a team of Supplier Quality Engineers.

• Propel improvements in cost of poor quality, on-time delivery, first-time-right quality, savings, customer-related events, escapes, and other KPIs.

• Mentor, coach, and inspire team members while fostering leadership capabilities.

• Promote EHS, compliance, quality, and Lean culture within the organization.

• Lead supplier quality development initiatives alongside Supply Chain Quality and Strategic Sourcing leaders.

• Formulate sourcing and quality strategies while managing stakeholder relationships effectively.

• Carry out supplier qualifications and surveillance audits.

• Ensure adherence to supplier approval and product qualification protocols.

• Standardize processes and tools throughout the Aero GT scope.

• Oversee root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

• Prepare PSR and SR cases for vendor recovery activities.

• Manage personnel and project budgets efficiently.

• Develop technical expertise, capability pools, and training programs.

• Establish and lead the global Aero GT SQE network.

• Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, authorities, and regulatory entities.

• Define product qualification criteria for Aeroderivative products.

• Manage the industrialization strategy for Aeroderivative products within Supplier Quality.

• Identify and eliminate non-value-adding processes.

• Share lessons learned and create supplier read-across programs.

• Participate in Strategic Sourcing commodity assessments, addressing quality risks, qualification necessities, budget limitations, and expertise shortfalls.

• Lead generic supplier development initiatives to enhance manufacturing process performance and supplier quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening is required, if applicable.

• Proven experience in leading Supplier Quality Engineers and supplier quality initiatives.

• Comprehensive knowledge of supplier product qualification, audits, surveillance, quality issue resolution, and root cause analysis.

• Experience in developing and executing sourcing and quality strategies.

• Proven ability to manage complex relationships across various stakeholders and countries.

• Familiarity with supplier approval and product qualification management system procedures.

• Experience with Root Cause Analysis and preventive action methodologies.

• Proven track record of managing budgets related to personnel and projects.

• Technical expertise in the Aeroderivative Gas Turbine sector.

• Experience with supplier quality, manufacturing process performance, and industrialization aspects.

• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, local authorities, and regulatory entities.

• Capability to define product qualification requirements specific to Aeroderivative products.

• Familiarity with EHS, compliance, quality, and Lean practices.
