Regional Sourcing Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop, define, implement, and routinely review sourcing strategies and processes for Cluster categories.

• Manage supplier relationships, quality, and other procurement processes across relevant geographies or clients.

• Lead and nurture a Cluster Sourcing Team consisting of 2 direct reports.

• Measure and report on team performance and delivery metrics.

• Communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

• Oversee supplier relationships for key suppliers based on supplier/spend segmentation.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and significant enhancements in product and service specifications.

• Execute value delivery projects and competitive sourcing processes.

• Achieve measurable cost savings through supplier negotiations, improved total-cost-of-ownership initiatives, and commercial strategies.

• Assist client-facing teams in maximizing gross profit margins by leveraging knowledge of client contractual agreements.

• Ensure compliance with supplier contracts, including financials, SLAs, and KPIs.

• Monitor technology developments and innovations from suppliers and evaluate their impacts on sourcing strategy.

• Ensure data remains auditable and assess benchmarks and savings in alignment with commercial strategy.

• Support commercial, growth, supply chain, and subject-matter-expertise objectives.

• Review risks associated with supply interruptions and implement actions to mitigate or manage them.

• Contribute to the development of category plans and strategies within the global Procurement team.

• Negotiate favorable contract terms independently as well as in collaboration with Global Procurement, Finance, and Legal.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in direct management and leadership of a team.

• Experience in successfully guiding a team through transformational changes is preferred.

• Proficient in managing a multimillion, multi-country spend portfolio.

• Experience in direct or indirect sourcing and procurement operations.

• Familiarity with the supplier landscape in the European region.

• Recent accomplishments in total cost ownership (TCO) initiatives.

• Proven track record of driving commercial value for categories by leveraging a significant spend portfolio.

• Successful experience in competitive vendor management.

• Willingness to travel regularly to visit existing suppliers.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with Global Procurement and Finance/Legal teams.

• Skilled in negotiating favorable contract terms.

• Knowledgeable in packaging category sourcing, supplier management, quality, and procurement processes.

• Understanding of contractual terms, financials, SLAs, and KPIs.

• Awareness of technology developments and innovations within the supplier base.

• Capability to ensure data is auditable and to evaluate benchmarks and savings.

• Ability to assess and mitigate risks related to supply interruptions.
