This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee, mentor, and cultivate the skills of technical service representatives and service technicians in the region.
• Deliver technical support for product applications at customer locations, ensuring high levels of account satisfaction and retention.
• Manage the expenses associated with all activities within the service group, adhering to budget constraints.
• Create service plans tailored to customer needs while aiming to increase market share.
• Coordinate and mobilize corporate resources to support the service team effectively.
• Establish performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and address any performance-related issues.
• Enhance the technical and commercial capabilities of service representatives while supporting sales activities, including service requirements, negotiations, and business expansion for significant opportunities.
• Gather and provide market intelligence regarding competitive activities and industry trends.
• Build and sustain relationships with sales managers and cross-functional support teams.
• Recruit, develop, and lead team members to effectively support customers and sales personnel.
• Assist the team in managing multiple customers across the designated area using diverse product lines.
• Identify training needs, implement training initiatives, and promote continuous learning and improvement.
• Lead the reporting, documentation, communication of findings, abnormal conditions, and recommendations.
• Help service representatives and technicians resolve customer technical issues and enhance processes.
• Support the team with DuBois eTools, System Surveys, and Cost Calculators.
• Travel to assigned customers alongside service representatives and technicians to fulfill customer needs.
• More than 5 years of experience in technical service or technical service management within the chemical or industrial sector.
• Strong mechanical understanding and comprehensive knowledge of applications across various product portfolios.
• Proven ability to lead and coach a team to deliver exceptional service.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to think critically and strategically towards implementing solutions.
• Demonstrated capability in managing expenses and financials effectively.
• Proficiency in training and developing service representatives and technicians.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with both current and prospective customers, as well as sales managers.
• A proven history of achieving or surpassing team objectives.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight trips.
