Regional Service Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee all service-related operations for dealerships and customers.

• Guarantee satisfaction with service-related tasks.

• Support customers and dealers in troubleshooting and resolving service-related issues.

• Manage overall service delivery effectiveness and customer satisfaction within the designated region.

• Create corrective action plans with dealerships and customers to address service delivery discrepancies.

• Monitor, report, and follow up on product and technical issues in collaboration with the Autocar Solutions Team.

• Evaluate dealer service operations and recommend enhancements, including necessary tooling.

• Advocate for and ensure dealerships employ Autocar-trained technicians to manage workloads.

• Cultivate and maintain solid relationships across customer organizations to uphold confidence in Autocar products.

• Foster connections with Regional Business Managers and National Account Sales.

• Collaborate with engineering and technical service departments to achieve service performance and quality standards.

• Organize cost-effective, self-managed travel itineraries.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year institution, or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Class B Commercial Driver License or the ability to obtain one.

• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification or the capability to acquire it.

• Cummins Certification is preferred.

• Allison Certification is preferred.

• Ability to achieve Autocar Master Technician Certification.

• Previous experience in the Heavy-Duty Truck sector is mandatory.

• Specific experience in the Refuse industry is preferred.

• Proficient in calculating figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

• Capable of applying basic algebra and geometry principles.

• Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications.

• Familiarity with AXIS (Team Center Engineering - IMAN, QAD, ADNET) is preferred.

• Ability to remain seated at a desk for extended durations while using computer-aided design software.

• Capacity to stand, walk, and bend during lab testing or visits to the production floor.

• Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

• Visual acuity for examining detailed schematics, inspecting prototypes, and utilizing computer screens.
