Regional Security Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Ensure a strong, proactive, and integrated security framework within Saab’s regional operations.

• Coordinate and align security issues across various countries.

• Serve as a senior security advisor to the organization.

• Safeguard people, assets, information, and operations in a complex and evolving security landscape.

• Lead and manage security personnel in the region.

• Independently organize and structure work, establish priorities, and influence the role’s development.

• Coordinate security initiatives across countries, ensuring uniformity while adapting to local conditions and risks.

• Oversee and manage security personnel.

• Supervise physical and personnel security measures.

• Manage information security and ensure compliance.

• Handle travel security matters.

• Conduct risk management assessments.

• Manage incidents and crises effectively.

• Provide security training and conduct exercises.

• Travel frequently within Southern Africa according to business needs and availability.

• Support Saab’s operations and business development throughout Southern Africa and other regions of interest.

⛳️ Requirements

• Reside in South Africa and be willing to relocate there for a specified period of three to five years.

• Hold a university degree in security risk management and/or possess equivalent professional experience, such as from governmental authorities.

• Several years of experience in protective security, ideally in an international setting.

• Proven experience in coordinating security across diverse countries, functions, or organizational units.

• Comfortable assuming ownership of planning and prioritization tasks.

• Proficient in both Swedish and English, in writing and speaking.

• Must successfully complete security vetting in accordance with current security protection regulations.

• Additional citizenship requirements may be applicable for roles necessitating security clearance.

• Additional language skills and experience in international or cross-cultural settings are advantageous.

• Experience in the defense sector, government agencies, or other complex, security-sensitive industries is a plus.
