Regional Security Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Manage daily operations across approximately 5–12 client project locations in the Northeast and Midwest regions.

• Direct project initiations and stabilize new client sites, including the mobilization and onboarding of security services and personnel.

• Mentor, develop, and oversee Site Security Coordinators, Site Logistics Leaders, Shift Leaders, and Access Control Officers.

• Take ownership of regional staffing strategies, scheduling, and resource allocation.

• Act as Sitemetric's Qualified Manager/Agent/Principal for private security licensing.

• Ensure compliance with state licensing standards, Sitemetric policies, and client contractual agreements.

• Perform site audits, security drills, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

• Create post orders, standard operating procedures, communication plans, risk mitigation strategies, and vulnerability assessments.

• Act as a liaison between field operations and the corporate Security & Safety team.

• Collaborate with Safety, Operations, Technology, and other Regional Leaders to provide integrated site security.

• Serve as the main regional client contact for security issues and resolve challenges.

• Assist with client-specific Site Security Plans and provide guidance on Sitemetric products and services.

• Identify new security business opportunities, contract expansions, and upselling prospects, aiming for at least one win or expansion opportunity per quarter.

• Build strong executive-level relationships with clients.

• Design and implement security training while supporting onboarding and professional development.

• Manage the regional budget and ensure billable utilization.

• Achieve KPI targets for audits, customer satisfaction, safety, and revenue growth.

• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and high-priority client concerns.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of progressive experience in security management, law enforcement, or private security operations.

• At least 2 years in a security leadership position managing multi-site or regional security operations.

• Strong understanding of Ohio state security regulations and licensing requirements.

• Proven success in leading multi-site or regional security teams, with budget accountability.

• Exceptional leadership, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to build trust and foster productive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels, driving security-related business growth.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and incident management or scheduling platforms.

• Willingness to travel regularly within the region (50–75%) and respond to urgent site requirements.

• Strong organizational and project management abilities with the capacity to handle multiple priorities.

• Must successfully pass pre-employment background screening and drug testing.

• Must satisfy Ohio's Qualifying Agent (QA) requirements and complete any necessary trainings and exams for certification.

• Professional certifications in training, security, project management, or compliance are preferred.

• Previous experience with Ohio Qualified Manager / Security Agent licensing is advantageous.

• Experience in the construction, law enforcement, or physical security sectors is preferred.

• Familiarity with access control, incident reporting, and electronic security systems is preferred.
