
Regional Sales Manager – Northeast, Specific National Accounts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +5 more states.
• Propel regional sales growth by expanding relationships with current customers and discovering new markets, clients, and opportunities.
• Oversee ongoing projects and customers focused on OEM.
• Create and implement a business strategy for your territory aimed at uncovering new business prospects and ensuring sustainable growth.
• Keep in touch with and regularly engage with both existing and potential customers.
• Manage and update Elmo’s Salesforce CRM system for tracking customers and opportunities as well as reporting.
• Aim for a 20% year-over-year increase in annual sales.
• Leverage Elmo’s technical team to meet customer application requirements.
• Attain proficiency in Elmo’s products and solutions, presenting their features, advantages, and technical benefits to clients.
• Manage incoming leads within the territory.
• Comprehend customer needs and develop strategic proposals tailored to specific clients.
• Generate strategic quotes, follow up on them, convert them into orders, and track those orders.
• Develop an ongoing 18-month sales forecast.
• Establish annual sales goals and ensure accountability.
• Relay market trends and future customer requirements to the marketing team, contributing to future product and solution development.
• A minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
• Relevant expertise in Mechatronics, Electricity, Software, Quality, or Environmental Conditions.
• A background in Motion Control, Machine Control, and/or Factory Automation is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with servo and automation systems; prior experience in such companies is advantageous.
• A 4-Year Degree in Engineering or a 4-Year Business Degree with Technical Acumen.
• Strong planning abilities to ensure efficient performance.
• Technical insight and quick problem-solving skills.
• Consistent use of CRM systems (Salesforce experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in English is mandatory – full fluency required.
• A hunter mentality and self-starter attitude.
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 50%.
• Ability to cover the territory including Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Canadian provinces east of Quebec, and specialized technology/harsh environment customers across the US and Canada.
