This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Lead the Key Account Management team to achieve targets and enhance professional skills.
• Establish and nurture a high-performing technical sales team.
• Expand Molecular Devices’ market share, revenue, and profitability in life sciences, government installations, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, academic research laboratories, contract labs, and incubators.
• Propel growth and capture market share by planning and managing the performance of western North America account management teams.
• Meet regional sales targets and fulfill company objectives.
• Build and sustain a high-performing Key Account Management team responsible for marketing the complete Molecular Devices portfolio.
• Represent Molecular Devices and Danaher at industry conferences and events.
• Facilitate interactions between account managers and customers to foster commercial partnerships.
• Mentor key account managers in establishing relationships within target accounts and promoting the complete product portfolio.
• Collaborate with internal teams and cross-OPCO Danaher groups.
• Develop and advocate for Danaher solutions while generating demand for innovative technologies.
• Promote standardized sales processes, Danaher Business Systems, and digital tools.
• Deliver precise weekly forecasts and approve daily quotes.
• Engage in product development initiatives and kaizen events.
• Guide new sales leaders through problem-solving, performance management, career discussions, and trust-building activities.
• Assist the sales organization’s onboarding and upskilling initiatives alongside the Commercial Education Manager.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant Life Sciences field.
• At least 7 years of successful sales experience in life sciences, drug discovery, biotechnology, or related sectors.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing or mentoring sales organization members.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain high-performing, field-based sales teams.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles, leadership development programs, and standard selling methodologies.
• Capability to utilize metrics and key performance indicators to identify deficiencies and create solutions.
• Must reside in the designated territory, ideally in Seattle, San Francisco, or Southern California.
• Willingness to dedicate 60% of work time in the field engaging with sales representatives, leadership, and customers.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Preferred: understanding of Funnel Management, Plate Readers, High Content Imaging, Cellular Automation Workflows, and 3D Biology.
