This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Achieve sales targets for revenue and costs within the region.
• Create and implement business plans for the region and its territories.
• Lead the execution of sales strategies and tactics while implementing sales and marketing initiatives.
• Establish and nurture essential customer relationships.
• Formulate mutually advantageous business solutions and apply customer-centric models.
• Organize and conduct regional sales meetings to share product knowledge and enhance sales and business capabilities.
• Assess the performance of Clinical Account Executives.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products and market trends.
• Identify contracting opportunities with academic medical centers, cancer centers, health systems, and other significant accounts.
• Supervise Tempus’s CRM system for the specified geographic area.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize results.
• Uphold Tempus’s values with integrity, respect, and trust.
• In-depth knowledge of the Diagnostic Services industry is essential.
• Experience in Molecular Diagnostics is highly preferred.
• Prior experience selling Oncology-related tests and services in the Pathology and/or Oncology clinical communities is desirable.
• Proven experience in complex selling environments is required.
• Demonstrated success in recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining talent.
• Ability to prioritize and align organizational goals and objectives to foster innovation.
• Capability to develop and leverage cross-functional relationships.
• Skilled in providing an integrated MolDx/SaaS solution utilizing sequencing technology.
• Proficient in engaging in a consultative sales approach and addressing objections.
• Comfortable selling at the executive level (CEO, COO, CFO).
• Strong understanding of the payer and reimbursement landscape in oncology and diagnostics.
• Capable of working independently, communicating proactively, managing multiple projects, and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
• Competent in problem-solving, decision-making, and technical learning.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong administrative capabilities.
• Knowledgeable in strategic planning, sales strategy, and tactical execution.
• Experienced in managing the financial aspects of a commercial organization.
• Expertise in molecular diagnostics, genomics, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and oncology.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Consistent closing abilities throughout the sales process.
• Exceptional verbal, oral communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Effective and regular use of Salesforce.com.
• Advanced presentation skills and strong business acumen.
• Willingness to travel frequently (~50%) within the territory.
• At least 5 years of experience in a relevant industry or commercial setting as a sales manager leading a team of 8 or more representatives.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA is preferred.
