This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Report directly to the Area Sales Director and be an integral part of the sales leadership team within Phathom’s commercial division.
• Develop a sales team tasked with launching the vonoprazan franchise, including H-pylori and GERD introductions.
• Convey essential strategic initiatives and steer strategic implementation within the region.
• Recruit, train, nurture, and retain a high-performing sales team.
• Provide guidance and direction to optimize business opportunities and meet customer needs.
• Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of sales representatives.
• Attract, train, motivate, and maintain an industry-leading sales team.
• Coach teams to adopt an omni-channel approach in both live and virtual environments.
• Recognize and reward individual and team achievements to maximize sales objectives.
• Analyze and interpret customer needs in collaboration with direct reports.
• Assist in the design and development of sales capabilities, encompassing training, sales operations, and territory management.
• Work collaboratively across the organization to communicate and implement strategies and share successes.
• Develop, align, and execute regional and territory business plans.
• Encourage innovation and entrepreneurial thinking in sales methodologies.
• Partner with Compliance to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
• Build relationships with large group practices and gastroenterology thought leaders.
• Collaborate with the Human Resources Business Partner to assess, develop, and promote top talent.
• Oversee territories including Northern California, Northern Nevada, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon.
• Ideally, possess 10 or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sector, with a preference for 2-3 years in sales management.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales, with a preference for field sales management and product launch experience.
• Proven competency in inspiring and developing high-performing, ethical, team-oriented sales professionals.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to cultivate relationships and create innovative ideas and solutions.
• Demonstrated capability to launch and establish market-leading, first-in-category brands.
• Established track record of providing leadership, vision, and direction in a dynamic, challenging, and energetic corporate setting.
• Strategic agility, strong collaboration skills, trustworthiness, ethics, and integrity are essential.
• Valid driver's license with a clean US driving record.
• Willingness to travel within the region.
