This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee a network of independent direct store delivery distributors in Northern California.
• Foster relationships with distributor proprietors, brand managers, and sales leaders.
• Develop and implement annual business plans for distributors.
• Set sales targets, budgets, and performance standards.
• Manage profit and loss, volume, and market share metrics for the territory.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly business performance reviews.
• Analyze sales outcomes, KPIs, scorecards, forecasts, and progress towards objectives.
• Engage in distributor training, sales meetings, market visits, and ride-alongs.
• Enhance good2grow distribution across regional chains, local chains, independent retailers, and nontraditional accounts.
• Identify potential new accounts, inactive accounts, and stores lacking authorized products.
• Increase the number of locations carrying good2grow products and the variety of products per store.
• Secure shelf placement at kids' eye level and additional display spaces.
• Introduce new products and distribution possibilities to retailers.
• Directly engage with assigned regional chain accounts.
• Manage third-party brokers and additional sales resources as necessary.
• Enhance promotional execution and performance at the store level.
• Utilize the VIP Karma app to plan, document, audit, and follow up on store visits.
• Relay retail opportunities and execution gaps to distributor leadership.
• Provide weekly updates and follow-ups to distributors.
• Record market visits, business reviews, action items, and sales performance.
• Oversee chargebacks, deductions, unsalable products, and logistics.
• Track distributor point-of-sale data, inventory, and product requirements.
• Maintain scorecards, forecasts, weekly plans, and territory reports.
• Submit expense reports and fulfill administrative duties.
• Supervise summer interns or third-party resources as assigned.
• Coach, mentor, and guide direct reports as necessary.
• Establish performance expectations, provide feedback, conduct performance reviews, and formulate development plans.
• Cultivate a collaborative and accountable work environment.
• Must reside in Fresno, Sacramento, or San Francisco.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
• Five to ten years of experience in sales, merchandising, direct store delivery, or supplier sales.
• Experience in consumer packaged goods is preferred.
• Previous experience collaborating with distributors and retail customers is advantageous.
• Proficient in delivering presentations to groups.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Demonstrated proactive approach and strong sense of urgency.
