Regional Safety Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee initiatives aimed at promoting safe and compliant practices within the Corporate Health & Safety Department.

• Provide expertise in construction safety along with skills in risk recognition and reduction.

• Foster proactive safe work practices by utilizing prevention and mitigation techniques.

• Stay updated on current industry safety trends and practices.

• Identify, implement, and continuously enhance company best practices for safety.

• Manage the safety region to mitigate occupational injuries and illnesses.

• Assist in the development and implementation of safety training programs, policies, and procedures.

• Compile, analyze, and interpret data regarding occupational illnesses and accident exposure.

• Prepare incident reports and generate management, regulatory agency, and ad hoc reports.

• Conduct thorough EHS facility and field audits.

• Create and finalize corrective action plans in collaboration with operations.

• Act as a subject matter expert on corporate and governmental regulatory matters.

• Lead field and facility safety meetings and training sessions.

• Train and mentor regional resources on construction safety practices.

• Investigate injuries and incidents, including conducting root cause analyses and developing corrective action plans.

• Document injury and incident scenarios and their causes within the company's EHS information system.

• Communicate root and contributing causes to aid in proactive injury and incident prevention.

• Manage OSHA citations and investigations within the designated region.

• Analyze metrics and monthly incident data to identify trends and allocate resources effectively.

• Audit data collection and reporting practices to ensure regulatory compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside in CA, OR, WA, or AZ, with a strong preference for those located in California.

• Must maintain a primary residence within the assigned territory.

• At least 18 years of age.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience.

• Familiarity with OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations and safety administration in transportation, construction, distribution, general industry, or warehousing environments.

• Proficient in OSHA & EPA Regulations along with State and Federal laws.

• Skilled in Microsoft Office Applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the designated multi-state territory.

• A Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is preferred.

• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification is preferred.

• Construction Health Safety Technician (CHST) certification is preferred.

• This is a safety-sensitive position.
