Regional Recruitment Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Act as a representative for Sunway University and collaborate with its International Recruitment Office on recruitment and conversion initiatives in China.

• Engage in both online and face-to-face recruitment and outreach activities targeting prospective students, their parents, and educational counsellors.

• Identify and execute strategies to enhance and expand international institutional partnerships in designated regions of China.

• Offer accurate information and guidance to prospective students and educational agents.

• Advise students and follow up regarding offer acceptance, necessary documents, and admission processes.

• Respond to inquiries from prospective students and parents, guiding them throughout the application journey.

• Utilize the CRM system to target and nurture assigned leads and applicants effectively.

• Establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders within China's education sector.

• Represent the university at education events, tradeshows, conferences, webinars, and virtual gatherings.

• Participate in social media engagement and online training activities.

• Aid in organizing both online and offline events, information sessions, localized content, and promotional efforts.

• Maintain databases and conduct follow-ups post-events.

• Gather interested-student data and prepare activity outcome reports for the University.

• Coordinate with internal teams regarding administrative matters.

• Assist with online research, market intelligence, information management, presentations, events, and conferences.

• Monitor project expenses and execute activities within the approved budget.

• Keep stakeholder communication up to date and maintain current market information.

• Develop and sustain key contact lists.

• Document recruitment events, campaigns, project progress, as well as lead and applicant interactions in the CRM.

• Prepare and submit necessary reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a first degree level education.

• Have experience in student recruitment or a comparable environment.

• Previous experience in the education sector, ideally in an administrative, managerial, or marketing capacity.

• Capability to work under pressure and build relationships across various organizational levels.

• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal abilities.

• High level of English proficiency with outstanding written, oral communication, and presentation skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Understanding of the China Higher Education system.

• Collaborative working approach with the ability to inspire teams.

• Competence in managing substantial workloads, adhering to deadlines, and resolving work-related challenges.

• Willingness to work outside of normal office hours and/or on weekends.

• Anticipated frequent travel due to event participation.

• Flexibility, adaptability, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

• Legal authorization to work in China on a full-time basis.

• A relevant postgraduate or professional qualification in business or marketing is preferred.

• Experience studying or living overseas is advantageous.

• Familiarity with the Malaysia Higher Education system and Malaysia as a study destination is highly preferred.

• Experience in developing marketing campaigns and utilizing social media as a communication tool is beneficial.

• Understanding of higher education systems and issues pertinent to students considering international study.

• Strong strategic and tactical planning skills.
