This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee the advisor recruitment pipeline by utilizing team resources, industry best practices, and activities.
• Ensure candidate records are maintained accurately and promptly in the recruiting contact management system.
• Provide precise reporting on recruitment outcomes.
• Communicate the status and results of advisor recruitment to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Address advisor inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Articulate Ameriprise’s value proposition and brokerage expertise to potential advisors.
• Assess advisor practices to ensure asset portability and compliance with company hiring standards.
• Generate a consistent and high-volume stream of qualified candidates through referrals, local wholesaler networking, and firm marketing/advertising efforts.
• Establish centers of influence with existing franchise advisors and field staff to cultivate local recruitment sources.
• Foster and maintain partnerships among corporate partners, field leaders, and advisors to meet recruitment objectives.
• Set clear expectations with advisors and field leaders regarding the recruitment process.
• Engage in extensive phone outreach.
• Stay informed about broker-dealer products, processes, and capabilities.
• Keep current on industry competitive intelligence, benchmarking, and analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4 years).
• 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• A combination of post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be accepted to meet the total minimum qualifications for education and experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of products, processes, and capabilities within the broker-dealer sector.
• Experience in recruitment efforts in the financial services industry, particularly for advisor positions.
• Proven ability to drive results and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Capability to work independently and be an effective and trusted business partner with field leadership and internal stakeholders.
• Exceptional relationship management, negotiation, collaboration, and influencing abilities.
• Ability to evaluate readiness and provide coaching and development to others.
• Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail, tracking, and follow-up.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Candidate MUST reside within the territory.
• Series 7 license is preferred.
