This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.
β’ Act as an embedded field specialist providing support to the commercial organization within the designated region.
β’ Offer real-time product knowledge to regional sales teams, assist with customer demonstrations, and engage in key account meetings.
β’ Spearhead regional responses to competitive instruments, pricing modifications, and customer inquiries.
β’ Aid in product mix analysis, contribute to product line forecasting, and carry out portfolio utilization assessments.
β’ Involve in distributor management through product training, commercial assistance, and competitive resources.
β’ Oversee the regional implementation of global product launches, tailoring strategies to local market conditions, regulatory standards, and commercial goals.
β’ Collaborate with Regional Marketing Managers on launch initiatives, customer events, and demand generation tactics.
β’ Manage regional beta programs, which include site selection, relationship management, and feedback collection.
β’ Provide training for regional sales teams on new product launches.
β’ Report on competitive activities, customer insights, application trends, and market changes to central product management.
β’ Conduct a minimum of 20 comprehensive customer discussions annually to gather market intelligence.
β’ Represent PerkinElmer at regional scientific conferences, trade shows, and customer gatherings.
β’ Contribute regional insights on product needs, pricing feedback, and application priorities for MRD and roadmap activities.
β’ Establish relationships with key regional customers, opinion leaders, early adopters, and high-volume purchasers.
β’ Assist key account teams with technical and commercial input for tenders, framework agreements, and strategic accounts.
β’ Collaborate with the Applications Scientist on customer demonstrations, method development, and application-specific support.
β’ 5β10 years of experience in product management, technical sales, applications science, or commercial marketing within the fields of analytical instrumentation or scientific equipment.
β’ Comprehensive working knowledge of at least one product line technology: atomic spectroscopy, chromatography, or materials characterization, along with its key regional application markets.
β’ Proven capability to effectively function as a field-based specialist, managing multiple simultaneous customer and commercial priorities with minimal day-to-day oversight.
β’ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with regional sales teams, distributors, and customers in various technical and commercial scenarios.
β’ Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned region (40β50%).
β’ Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physics, or a related scientific field.
β’ Advanced degree (MSc, PhD) in a relevant analytical or materials science discipline is preferred.
β’ Direct hands-on laboratory experience with analytical instrumentation in research, QC, or applications settings is preferred.
β’ Previous field-based experience as an applications scientist, field sales specialist, or field marketing professional is preferred.
β’ Native or near-native proficiency in the primary commercial language of the assigned region where English is not predominant is preferred.
