This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Lead and oversee a team of Patient Access Liaisons operating in the field.
• Ensure the team achieves both business and personal development goals.
• Monitor team performance, training initiatives, and compliance standards.
• Create and evaluate key performance metrics that align with business objectives.
• Mentor team members individually to prepare them for regional positions.
• Collaborate with Hub Services, Case Managers, AllCare Care Managers, Patient Engagement Marketing, and Training departments to facilitate patient access to medications.
• Ensure the team receives essential and ongoing training and expertise.
• Identify emerging patient needs and relay them to relevant cross-functional teams.
• Organize team involvement in national and local patient meetings and events.
• Supervise patient programs aimed at addressing educational needs of patients.
• Create presentations concerning group objectives and performance at least on a quarterly basis.
• Contribute insights towards the strategic direction of the organization.
• Collaborate with Area Sales Directors to enhance teamwork, prioritize joint objectives, and educate healthcare providers about Amgen By Your Side services.
• Doctorate Degree and 2 years of experience in Patient Access OR a Master's Degree and 4 years of Patient Access experience OR a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of Patient Access experience.
• Background in the pharmaceutical or medical industry.
• Experience in managing people or a proven track record of developing skills towards people management (e.g., mentoring/training, demonstrated leadership, enhancing the knowledge and performance of others).
• Preferred experience in rare diseases and/or relevant disorders.
• Proficiency in key performance metrics and data analysis.
• Prior experience as a patient educator or in patient access roles.
• Experience in direct communication with patients and/or healthcare providers.
• Understanding of PhRMA, OIG, and other guidelines governing compliant medical communications.
• Familiarity with insurance, reimbursement, and foundation assistance within the healthcare sector.
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to excel in a cross-functional team environment.
• Willingness to travel regionally 50-75%, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
• Strong presentation skills and proficiency in PowerPoint.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
