This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as the main contact for designated restaurants
• Partner with restaurant managers and franchisees to build the necessary capabilities for achieving desired outcomes
• Perform audits and inspections to ensure compliance with brand standards
• Create action plans with managers and franchisees to enhance operational performance
• Supervise regional sales, performance metrics, customer experience ratings, food safety, and employee engagement
• Conduct focused, high-quality visits to restaurants
• Lead operational evaluations and assessments as per the brand's annual strategies
• Assess brand standards, front-of-house and back-of-house operations, security and safety, employee relations, and food sanitation
• Observe, assess, and score restaurants based on established audit criteria
• Guide, educate, and inspire employees, managers, and franchisees to modify their behaviors
• Convey brand standards and the resources available
• Identify gaps, opportunities, and root causes of operational and customer satisfaction challenges
• Document and address issues discovered during audits and report on emerging trends
• Serve as the intermediary between managers, franchisees, and the brand’s leadership team
• Prepare for audits by examining financial performance, prior audits, and action plans
• Oversee all facets of new restaurant openings to ensure they meet their business goals
• Visit restaurants as frequently as stipulated by the segmentation model
• Mentor and develop employees while tracking their individual development plans
• Provide constructive feedback and enhance employees’ leadership abilities
• Ensure the recruitment, development, and retention of regional team members
• Set business and financial goals alongside managers and franchisees
• Suggest improvements to boost comparable restaurant sales or minimize costs
• Identify best practices to enhance profitability
• Deliver a quarterly report on regional business activities
• Ensure compliance with employment regulations, human rights, health, and safety standards
• Guarantee the execution and adherence to food safety protocols
• A minimum of 3–5 years as a Regional Operations Manager (ROM) is essential; experience with multiple units is preferred
• Postsecondary education required
• Bilingual proficiency in spoken and written French and English
• Experience in operations is advantageous
