This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Lead and supervise Associate Directors – Territory Operations Management assigned to the region.
• Oversee the expansion of AstraZeneca cell therapy territories while ensuring alignment with company-wide objectives across clinical and commercial products.
• Provide expertise in operational, clinical, and site infrastructure for AstraZeneca cell therapy trials and commercial products.
• Direct regional cross-functional activities in collaboration with internal partners.
• Develop and implement regional operational strategies, targets, and activation forecasts across various therapeutic areas.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with site partners, healthcare professionals, and regional stakeholders.
• Contribute to the creation of SOPs and guidance documents, ensuring compliance with site quality standards.
• Offer leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Spearhead business change management initiatives and process maturity assessments for site activation and post-activation.
• Analyze regional market and site dynamics to identify opportunities, challenges, and solutions.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, SMM, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Medical, IT leadership, and other teams.
• Drive continuous improvements and solutions to enhance patient care throughout the cell therapy product lifecycle.
• Present operational reports and regional plans regarding patient outcomes to senior management.
• Stay informed about and adhere to activation goals, processes, regulatory standards, compliance, and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Business, IT, or Life Sciences, or equivalent experience.
• Over 8 years of experience in a Cell Therapy Program, healthcare/pharmaceutical setting, directly interacting with patients and/or healthcare providers.
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within Cell Therapy.
• Capability to develop and implement operational strategies in the cell therapy field.
• Experience in change management and the ability to promptly resolve complex issues.
• Flexibility to provide support outside of regular business hours for urgent patient matters.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.
• Understanding of the healthcare customer environment and hospital regulations.
• Experience in a matrix organization with complex IT systems or portals that support customer service, healthcare scheduling, supply chain management, and call centers.
• Familiarity with heavily regulated environments that require strict adherence to quality control and SOPs.
