This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Provide support to communities throughout the portfolio, with travel requirements of up to 100% within the area.
• Collaborate closely with Traditions Directors and Executive Directors to uphold Memory Care standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in the management of Memory Care and Health Services programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and adherence to Oakmont standards.
• Supervise resident care, activity programming, and staffing for Memory Care services catering to individuals with early, middle, and late-stage memory loss.
• Aid in the recruitment and onboarding process for new Directors.
• Work alongside new Traditions Directors in their respective communities until they achieve full operational capability.
• Provide retraining and coaching for Traditions Directors as needed.
• Conduct audits of the Traditions Program and ensure timely follow-up actions.
• Guarantee compliance with Oakmont Traditions policies and procedures in assigned communities.
• Engage in the development of policies and procedures.
• Assist in the establishment and opening of new communities, which includes team recruitment, training and development, program setup, participation in VIP and Grand Openings, department setup, and related programming.
• Contribute to the creation of Oakmont Programming standards and policies.
• Support various projects related to the development of Traditions systems.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Traditions Director or in a comparable role within a similar field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with dementia.
• A minimum of 1 year in a management or leadership position.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A BA/S in gerontology, psychology, social work, or a related field, or 4 years of experience in social services, residential care, psychiatric facilities, or similar environments.
• Ability to speak publicly at events.
• Must fulfill the CA DDS minimum qualifications to serve as a dementia trainer.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain RCFE Administrator Certification.
• Successful completion of a DOJ Criminal Background Check is mandatory.
• A clean driving record is essential.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to positively adapt and respond to change, criticism, and stressful situations.
• Highly motivated individual capable of working independently.
• Proficient decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with budgeting, programming costs, labor management, scheduling, and HR/hiring practices.
• Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring others.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to execute events effectively.
• Capability to collaborate well with all individuals involved in each assignment.
• Understanding and application of Oakmont Programs Standards, procedures, and policies.
• Energetic, flexible, and positive demeanor; adept at managing diverse personalities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other online tools.
