This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Provide support to communities throughout the portfolio with regular travel.
• Collaborate closely with Traditions Directors and Executive Directors to uphold Memory Care standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in the Memory Care and Health Services programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to Oakmont standards.
• Oversee resident care, activity programming, and the staffing of Memory Care services across various communities.
• Aid in the recruitment and onboarding process for new Directors.
• Work alongside new Traditions Directors in their communities until they achieve full operational status.
• Provide retraining and coaching to Traditions Directors as assigned.
• Conduct assigned Traditions Program Audits and ensure timely follow-up.
• Guarantee compliance with Oakmont Traditions policies and procedures in designated communities.
• Engage in the development of policies and procedures.
• Support new community development and openings, including team hiring, training and development, program setup, participation in VIP and Grand Openings, department setup, and related programming.
• Contribute to the formulation of Oakmont Programming standards and policies.
• Assist with additional projects related to the development of Traditions systems.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Prior experience in Senior Living is required.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Traditions Director or in a similar role.
• At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with dementia.
• 1 year of experience in a management or leadership capacity.
• High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
• BA/S in gerontology, psychology, social work, or a related field, or 4 years of experience in social services, residential care, psychiatric facilities, or similar environments.
• Ability to speak at public events.
• Must meet the CA DDS minimum qualifications to be a dementia trainer.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain RCFE Administrator Certification.
• Successfully pass a DOJ Criminal Background Check.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to positively adapt to change, criticism, and stressful situations.
• Highly motivated, with capability to work independently.
• Ability to make decisions, prioritize tasks and projects, and maintain exceptional time management.
• Understanding of budgeting, programming costs, labor, scheduling, and HR/hiring practices.
• Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring others.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to execute events effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders involved in each assignment.
• Clear comprehension and application of Oakmont Programs Standards, procedures, and policies.
• Energetic, flexible, and positive attitude; capable of managing a diverse range of personalities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other online tools.
• Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a valid exemption for qualifying medical reasons or religious beliefs, in accordance with legal requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time within the portfolio, including extended and variable assignments.
