Regional Medical Officer – Field

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver strategic and operational guidance for the execution of performance-based medical management.

• Oversee budgetary and risk management elements.

• Analyze and present business performance metrics to clients, senior leadership, and the Board of Directors.

• Engage in the oversight of all clinical divisions within the specified region.

• Contribute to the evaluation of local profit and loss outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with non-clinical departments throughout the organization.

• Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with providers.

• Uphold a customer-centric passion for excellence and dedication to innovation, implementing ideas that enhance healthcare for the patient population.

• Make and execute timely, high-quality decisions.

• Recruit, develop, and reward team members to successfully align with the company's strategic objectives.

• Additionally, handle all clinical responsibilities performed by Extensivists, which include, but are not limited to, seeing patients in hospitals and at home as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Hospitalist, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine is preferred, though recent graduates and fellows will also be considered.

• At least 1 year of administrative experience is preferred.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in managed care is preferred.

• NPI (must be obtained upon starting the position).

• Medical Doctorate (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) is required.

• Completion of a residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

• Successful completion of a residency program in the United States.

• Board Certification is mandatory.

• Valid medical license in the state of application; DEA license; must be board certified or board eligible in the relevant specialty.

• Must demonstrate clinical confidence and possess a friendly bedside manner.

• Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to new systems and processes are essential.

• Strong communication abilities are required.
