Regional Manager, EHS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for safety in operational plants within a designated region.

• Collaborate with Regional Directors, Plant Managers, Site Leads, Site Technicians, and contractor teams to implement and sustain site-specific safety initiatives.

• Report on safety performance, risks, incidents, and operational requirements to regional leadership and the Director of EHS, Quality & Training.

• Implement LRE's safety strategy and adhere to Zero Injury principles.

• Analyze leading indicators to foster continuous improvement.

• Oversee site activities and monthly safety training to ensure compliance with OSHA and LRE standards.

• Evaluate job safety analyses and site safety plans to enhance hazard identification and control measures.

• Perform workplace audits and inspections, tracking corrective actions until resolution.

• Educate and mentor staff on safety expectations and EHS systems, including IS Networld, EHS Insight, and The LRE Grid.

• Lead or assist in incident investigations, reporting, corrective actions, and sharing lessons learned.

• Travel regularly to designated operational renewable energy plants to conduct safety investigations, including climbing wind turbines and working at heights.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6-8 years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management.

• Certification as a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Safety Management Professional (SMP).

• Comprehensive understanding of OSHA recordkeeping mandates.

• Strong skills in medical case management.

• Familiarity with safety incident management software.

• Exceptional safety leadership, interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Capable of preparing accurate and grammatically correct reports.

• Devotion to personal responsibility regarding one's own safety, the safety of others, and LRE's Zero Injury principles.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, construction management, civil/electrical/mechanical engineering, or relevant field experience is preferred.

• At least 6 years of renewable energy construction management experience for those following the preferred field-experience path.

• Minimum of five years of contractor management experience.

• A minimum of five years of experience within the renewable energy sector.

• Preferred certifications include Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP).

• First Aid and/or CPR certification is preferred.

• Current authorization to work full-time for any employer in the United States without the need for an employment visa now or in the future.
