This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Plan, oversee, and assess all service operations across the region.
• Ensure the UK business operates profitably while aligning with corporate strategies, goals, and objectives.
• Enhance asset performance and ensure branches meet customer service and operational delivery targets.
• Mentor logistics teams to boost performance and facilitate individual growth.
• Uphold and implement company policies, standards, practices, and corporate values.
• Manage and assist all sites, guaranteeing safe, productive, and efficient operations.
• Oversee service operations in compliance with health and safety regulations, maintenance protocols, standard operating procedures, working time directives, and ‘O’ Licence requirements.
• Conduct regular health and safety inspections.
• Provide leadership and direction for seamless regional operations.
• Maintain open communication with managers and staff while frequently visiting sites.
• Collaborate with Service Managers to pinpoint opportunities for performance enhancement.
• Monitor branch performance reports and address areas of underperformance.
• Initiate continuous improvement projects and elevate service delivery standards.
• Manage regional expenses, business planning, budgets, and future capital expenditure needs.
• Support cost management, accounts receivable operations, revenue, and profit goals.
• Establish objectives, responsibilities, and accountabilities; oversee team performance.
• Cultivate a positive, high-performing culture and identify and nurture talent.
• Develop structured plans to enhance team members' skills.
• Support operational strategies and regional change initiatives in line with business transformation efforts.
• Build robust customer relationships and foster a performance-oriented culture within the regional team.
• An Associate's degree or equivalent is required.
• A CPC qualification is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
• A degree in Business or Logistics is favored.
• Experience in managing large logistics operations or distribution centers is highly advantageous.
• A proven track record in overseeing a logistics operation with extensive knowledge in the specialized field is essential.
• At least 5 years of experience managing teams with varied expertise (25-50 employees).
• Experience in a Regional role is necessary.
• Demonstrated success in managing multi-site operations and delivering customer service solutions in line with contractual agreements.
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience in operations/supply chain/logistics/e-commerce, including concepts like forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics, and delivery performance.
• Financial and commercial acumen, with proven experience in managing a P&L.
• Strong technical knowledge and background.
• Excellent health and safety leadership skills.
• Outstanding planning and organizational abilities.
• Capability to review and analyze complex financial/business reports/data and generate innovative solutions or corrective action plans.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities with confidence.
• Experience in managing capital projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with data entry skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and statistical tools.
• Excellent presentation abilities.
• Strong coaching and leadership skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
