Regional Maintenance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Deploy throughout the network to identify gaps, implement corrective measures, and restore performance to meet KPI targets.

• Assess site conditions, maintenance execution, and team capabilities, delivering clear improvement plans with assigned ownership.

• Establish, instruct, and enforce maintenance execution standards.

• Perform Health Check audits and Quality Assurance reviews.

• Provide General Managers of Fulfillment Centers with insights into maintenance operations.

• Mentor and guide Senior Maintenance Managers, Maintenance Managers, and Area Maintenance Managers.

• Identify leadership deficiencies and develop personalized growth plans.

• Educate on budgeting, workforce management, KPI interpretation, and escalation procedures.

• Create talent pipelines within various sites.

• Standardize maintenance work methodologies, enhance reliability, document processes, and train teams.

• Develop and execute reliability plans to boost facility uptime.

• Offer expertise in Material Handling Equipment, Industrial Automation, and Robotics systems.

• Analyze operational metrics, identify root causes, and drive ongoing improvement.

• Advise senior leadership on equipment end-of-life matters using ROI and analytical techniques.

• Cultivate and strengthen a proactive safety culture while enforcing safe work practices.

• Foster relationships with site Operations leaders, Regional Operations Managers, and Program Managers.

• Collaborate with JLL leaders and Finance to manage client funds effectively.

• Ensure KPI performance and report results during weekly business reviews and reports.

• Oversee labor and PRM budgets, ensure overtime adherence, and follow through on approval authorities.

• Report on budget variances and trends.

• Ensure compliance with PO creation and invoice reconciliation.

• Connect with other RMMs to guarantee consistent program deployment and execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• 6+ years of experience in managing employees and performance, including salaried leaders.

• Previous experience in a regional or multi-site maintenance leadership role overseeing 80+ employees.

• Proven history of leading change, accelerating team development, and enhancing performance across multiple sites.

• Functional knowledge of Material Handling Equipment systems, maintenance best practices, and 24/7 logistics environments.

• Willingness to travel 70–80% and deploy to sites across North America on short notice.

• Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, and influencing.

• Experience with reliability-centered maintenance, preventive/predictive strategies, and large-scale integrated systems.

• Proficient in data analysis and converting metrics into actionable coaching and decisions at the site level.

• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, TOC, standardized work, and cost/benefit analysis.

• Working knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project, and CMMS platforms.
