Regional Director – Therapy Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Manage various facility rehabilitation programs, encompassing both in-house and contracted therapy providers.

• Provide mentoring and training to Directors of Rehabilitation and therapy staff.

• Suggest efficiencies for rehabilitation programs and supervise operations to ensure compliance with PACS Therapy Best Practices, policies, Medicare guidelines, and State Practice Acts.

• Visit facilities as required to assist with operations and program management.

• Evaluate patient charts and electronic health records in Net Health EMR, PCC EMR, and PointRight.

• Attend CSR facility meetings and Triple Check meetings when necessary.

• Monitor therapy staffing ratios, therapist responsibilities, iQIES violation reports, and PointRight outliers.

• Communicate best practices for operational compliance and educate regional facilities.

• Engage in mock surveys, annual state licensing surveys, complaint visits, and plans of correction.

• Aid with the review and education of CMS reports, including Pepper, QM, VBP, 5 Star, and QRP reports.

• Support administrators and the Regional Vice President of Operations in achieving objectives.

• Conduct operational reviews and report findings to the RVPO and PACS Clinical Strategy and Governance Team.

• Provide training and education to facility leaders.

• Reinforce PACS Therapy Best Practices, including Standardized Testing and Annual Screens.

• Assist with month-end closeout and preparation for Triple Check.

• Support regional initiatives and third-party reviews, including CERTs, ADRs, ALJ hearings, and UPIC defense.

• Report compliance issues, including fraud, waste, abuse, and violations of the Code of Conduct, to the Chief Compliance Officer.

• Monthly report on facility therapy performance metrics.

• Assist with therapy staff and DOR interviews, evaluations, and performance improvement plans.

• Aid in acquisitions, transitions, and the conversion of contract programs to in-house therapy programs.

• Support RNA training and certification.

• Oversee therapy consultants and vendors.

• Assist with special projects.

• Supervise DORs, staff therapists, and regional therapy support staff/consultants as requested.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech Language Pathology.

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and/or Speech Language Therapist.

• Maintain an active license in good standing with the state board at all times.

• Fulfill continuing education requirements as per state practices.

• CPR certification.

• Obtain RAC-CT Credential within the first year of employment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Net Health, and Point Click Care.

• Previous regional experience is preferred.

• Willingness to travel by car, plane, or train when necessary.

• Capability to meet the listed physical demands, including frequent standing/walking, pushing/pulling, and exerting substantial force.
