This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Manage facilities operations for a designated regional portfolio, aligning with the priorities of the Regional Vice President and property operations objectives.
β’ Ensure adherence to the preventive maintenance plan and implement corrective measures as necessary.
β’ Conduct or oversee annual and specific facilities evaluations, translating the results into actionable strategies.
β’ Coordinate coverage for staffing vacancies, RFOS assignments, and travel arrangements in collaboration with Operations leadership.
β’ Supervise, mentor, train, and develop Regional Facilities Operations Specialists.
β’ Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial performance of the portfolio, implementing plans for improvement as needed.
β’ Oversee capital expenditure planning and annual projects, including prioritization, scheduling, risk management, and quality closure.
β’ Assist in the oversight of large or non-recurring capital projects.
β’ Manage turn planning and outcomes across the portfolio.
β’ Facilitate operational readiness for new community openings, including staffing, preventive maintenance setup, training, and warranty tracking.
β’ Coordinate national vendor accounts, product specifications, and vendor qualifications.
β’ Act as a subject matter expert, guiding best practices and continuous improvement efforts.
β’ Collaborate with Facilities Talent Management to inform training initiatives.
β’ Build relationships with Regional Directors, RVPs, HR, Asset Management, Facilities Talent Management, Property Operations, and Capital Projects.
β’ Recruit, hire, supervise, train, mentor, and develop direct reports.
β’ Conduct performance evaluations and development plans, collaborating on compensation adjustments and succession planning.
β’ Provide updates on portfolio assessments, PM compliance, turn readiness, CapEx status, and budget variances.
β’ Manage workflow and project prioritization to ensure timely execution and completion.
β’ A minimum of 7 years of experience in facilities operations, including leadership across multiple sites; previous experience managing field teams is essential.
β’ Proven track record in driving compliance with preventive maintenance, achieving turn outcomes, and managing budget/CapEx performance at the portfolio level.
β’ Strong analytical capabilities with experience in utilizing KPI dashboards and financial reports to develop actionable improvement plans.
β’ Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable; skilled in conducting assessments and translating findings into effective results.
β’ Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with Operations, HR, Asset Management, and Capital Projects; adept in field communications and change management.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office and facilities management systems; familiarity with an LMS and Interplay or similar platforms is preferred.
β’ Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region as required.
