This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Manage local volunteer chapters within designated geographic regions
• Coordinate Big Game banquets, special events, and other grassroots fundraising initiatives
• Recruit, train, and retain volunteers effectively
• Supervise the review and recommendation stages of RMEF’s granting program in Utah
• Lead, organize, and assist local chapter committees in planning and executing in-person fundraising events
• Achieve or surpass annual profit-center objectives
• Collaborate with regional, state, and chapter chairs on operational policies, procedures, financial reporting, and event implementation
• Plan and carry out an annual in-person volunteer workshop featuring grassroots fundraising training and chapter/volunteer recognition
• Chair or co-chair the state granting process, which involves solicitation, review, and recommendation of projects for RMEF funding
• Direct volunteer recruitment and grassroots fundraising training throughout chapters
• Accurately complete and submit necessary records, reports, and paperwork in a timely manner
• Address inquiries regarding RMEF activities and programs within the designated region
• Ensure compliance with state nonprofit and charitable fundraising regulations
• Initiate new chapters and/or in-person fundraising events to promote sustainable net revenue growth
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Fundraising, Communications, or a related field
• Five years of additional professional experience in a business setting
• Preferred experience in working with volunteers and fundraising
• Must reside in Utah
• Regular weekday and weekend travel is necessary
• Availability to work any day of the week, including weekends
• Willingness to work late hours, often until after midnight
• Capability to sit for extended periods in a car or airplane and stand for intervals of 2–6 hours
• Competence to work at a computer terminal for prolonged periods
• Must be able to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Valid state driver's license and satisfactory driving record required
• Comprehensive knowledge of and support for RMEF’s mission, goals, organizational structure, and activities
• Understanding of hunting's significance in wildlife management and conservation
• Exceptional people, organizational, communication, and public speaking abilities
• Capacity to guide and inspire volunteers, work independently, resolve conflicts, adapt to shifting priorities, and manage multiple tasks
• Proficient in annual fundraising income forecasting and operating expense budgeting
• Proficient in web-based software platforms along with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours
• Regional Directors may be eligible for a bonus in addition to their annual salary if they meet all goals set for their profit center and are employed for a full calendar year
