This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Supervise local volunteer chapters in western Colorado.

• Coordinate fundraising events such as Big Game banquets, special occasions, and grassroots fundraising initiatives.

• Recruit, train, and retain a dedicated team of volunteers.

• Manage the review and recommendation phases of RMEF’s granting program in the western Colorado region.

• Lead, organize, and support local chapter committees in planning, organizing, and executing in-person fundraising activities and events.

• Achieve or surpass annual profit center objectives.

• Collaborate with regional, state, and chapter chairs to ensure adherence to operating policies, procedures, financial reporting, and event execution.

• Plan and implement an annual in-person volunteer workshop focused on grassroots fundraising and chapter/volunteer recognition.

• Chair or co-chair the granting process, which includes the solicitation, review, and recommendation of projects related to hunting heritage, habitat stewardship, wildlife management/research, and land funding.

• Direct volunteer recruitment and grassroots fundraising training across various chapters.

• Accurately complete and submit necessary records, reports, and paperwork in a timely manner.

• Address inquiries regarding RMEF activities and programs within the designated region.

• Ensure compliance with state non-profit and charitable fundraising regulations and requirements.

• Initiate new chapters and/or in-person fundraising events to enhance sustainable net revenue growth.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Fundraising, Communications, or a related field.

• Five years of additional professional experience in a business setting.

• Preferred experience in volunteer management and fundraising.

• Must reside in western Colorado.

• Regular weekday and weekend travel is required.

• Availability to work any day of the week, including weekends.

• Willingness to work late hours, often extending past midnight.

• Capability to sit for extended periods in a vehicle or airplane and stand for 2–6 hours.

• Ability to work at a computer for long durations.

• Must be able to lift heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Maintain a valid state driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

• Comprehensive knowledge and support of RMEF’s mission, goals, organizational structure, and activities.

• Understanding of hunting's significance in wildlife management and conservation.

• Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Ability to address large audiences effectively.

• Skill in directing and inspiring volunteers.

• Proficient in annual fundraising income forecasts and operating expense budgets.

• Familiarity with web-based software platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Capacity to work independently with minimal direct oversight.

• Ability to foster a collaborative team environment.

• Competence in conflict resolution, adapting to changing priorities, and managing multiple tasks concurrently.

• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours.
