Regional Deployment Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Install and oversee equipment at Land Ports of Entry, airports, and Border Patrol sites.

• Supervise electrical contractors responsible for both inside and outside plant site modifications.

• Monitor and document the progress of work.

• Execute troubleshooting until resolution is achieved.

• Recognize installation challenges and risks, and devise solutions for complex issues.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of deployed solutions.

• Comply with IT security, physical security, and operational security protocols.

• Operate in an outdoor field setting under varying weather conditions without direct supervision.

• Provide surge support for non-deployment repair work across six local San Diego Ports of Entry.

• Cultivate relationships and trust with Customs and Border Protection officers and Border Patrol agents.

• Travel a minimum of 75% of the time to the Northern or Southern U.S. borders.

• Visit U.S. Customs Ports of Entry and Border Patrol locations throughout the San Diego area, covering up to 150 miles from the home base on a daily basis.

• A Bachelor's degree along with 2 years of experience in a Deployment Manager role or a similar position; additional experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Eligibility to obtain a CBP Public Trust clearance; DHS Public Trust must be secured before commencing work.

• Current residency in the San Diego area is required.

• A drug screening is mandatory as part of the CBP Background Investigation prior to employment.

• Familiarity with basic construction methods related to inside and outside plant cabling and the ability to interpret construction documents.

• Strong grasp of fundamental Project Management principles.

• Effective time management abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Comfortable using mobile tools and applications.

• Basic understanding of electrical wiring principles, specifically low voltage.

• Technical expertise with CAT 6 and coaxial signal cabling, including testing and termination processes.

• Proficient in single-mode and multi-mode fiber cabling, including testing, termination, and splicing techniques.

• Experience working with LED video displays and digital billboards.

• Experience managing subcontractors.

• Strong understanding of multimode fiber installation and troubleshooting is highly desirable.

• An active DHS Public Trust clearance is highly preferred.

• Must possess reliable transportation with valid insurance.
