Regional Data Center Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily operations at sites across Western Canada.

• Ensure that infrastructure consistently meets uptime, performance, and reliability goals.

• Take charge of coordinating incident responses for facility-related challenges.

• Maintain synchronization with Cluster Operations, Network Operations, and Platform Engineering.

• Serve as the primary liaison with facility operators and vendors.

• Guarantee that site infrastructure accommodates high-density compute demands, liquid cooling systems, and redundant power architectures.

• Assess facility performance against established operational benchmarks.

• Implement modular deployments in increments of 5MW.

• Manage site readiness, equipment installation, commissioning, and operational transfer.

• Aid in scaling towards a multi-site, high-capacity regional presence.

• Lead and mentor local data center technicians and engineers.

• Ensure operations are in line with HQ-defined standards, procedures, and timelines.

• Act as the operational link between HQ and field teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience in data centers or critical facilities.

• Proficient understanding of MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).

• Experience in engaging with facility providers and vendors.

• Proven ability to lead teams at the site level.

• Capable of executing both operationally and managerially in a dynamic environment.

• Preferred experience with AI/HPC infrastructure.

• Familiarity with liquid cooling systems is preferred.

• Experience operating in cold-weather conditions is preferred.

• Knowledge of structured incident management frameworks is preferred.

• Willingness to travel regionally is required.

• Must complete the necessary export compliance assessment/citizenship and permanent residency questionnaire.
