This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Expand the current customer base.
• Evaluate the implementation health within districts by assessing the use of offerings and addressing any obstacles.
• Sustain a high renewal rate through proactive management of accounts.
• Conduct regular in-person visits to curriculum leaders along with virtual check-ins.
• Develop customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Employ relationship sales techniques, including demonstrations, questioning, attentive listening, and on-site visits.
• Present and secure renewals and expansions throughout the entire decision-making process.
• Promote associated professional development and support services.
• Represent customer needs internally and collaborate with product, implementation, and support teams.
• Anticipate district needs and initiate outreach prior to renewal cycles.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the OUR portfolio, the K-12 educational marketplace, and the Open Educational Resources movement.
• Utilize promotional materials via email, social media, and presentations.
• Share best practices and collaborate with the new business sales team.
• Keep precise records in Salesforce.com, tracking opportunities and customer information.
• Assist with the development of monthly regional and local marketing plans.
• Collaborate with sales representatives to ensure consistency from sales through implementation.
• At least 5 years of experience in K-12 education, curriculum sales, education-technology sales, or a related business development role.
• Proven success in Math/ELA sales with demonstrated expertise in one or both subject areas.
• A dedicated passion for enhancing equity within the K-12 landscape.
• Teaching experience or district-level experience is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
• Self-motivated individual with a robust sales initiative and persistence.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, high attention to detail, and excellent time management capabilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Capability to interact effectively with various types of individuals.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Proficiency in technology applications, including presentation software, HubSpot, and Salesforce.com.
• Ability to build and sustain strong, trusting relationships with district and school leadership.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
