This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Oversee federal and state regulations, minimum wage laws, contract stipulations, and waiver mandates.
• Relay regulatory modifications to operations and pertinent stakeholders.
• Maintain a compliance alert system to monitor and distribute updates.
• Review and revise state-mandated forms.
• Prepare, verify, and submit regional contract reports.
• Develop, manage, and implement regional policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular reviews of policies and procedures, suggesting enhancements as necessary.
• Organize, coordinate, and engage in internal audits.
• Act as the primary liaison for external audits, providing necessary documentation.
• Facilitate and oversee Performance Improvement Plans and Corrective Action Plans.
• Investigate and document incidents related to Fraud, Waste, Abuse, Privacy, HIPAA, and other significant issues.
• Manage reviews of Criminal Background Checks.
• Keep secure compliance records for audits and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with compliance team members and regional leadership to enhance processes.
• Offer compliance training or guidance to staff members.
• Execute other duties that support the organization’s compliance objectives.
• Uphold the mission, values, and ethical standards of the company.
• Associate’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in compliance within healthcare, financial services, or a regulated sector.
• Demonstrated success in managing audits, regulatory reporting, and policy implementation.
• Strong grasp of compliance principles, regulatory frameworks, and risk management processes.
• Ability to interpret and apply federal and state regulations, contract stipulations, and organizational policies.
• Proficiency in compliance management systems, databases, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities; capable of prioritizing tasks under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• High level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information.
• Effective decision-making and critical thinking skills.
