This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Act as a subject matter expert regarding security protocols and audit compliance.
β’ Address external audits for SOC 1, SOC 2, and NIST 800-53.
β’ Assist in managing threats and vulnerabilities.
β’ Perform regular reviews of identity access.
β’ Ensure that application security procedures align with business needs and safeguard information.
β’ Supervise the implementation of access controls for systems, data, and programs.
β’ Oversee the destruction of highly sensitive confidential information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
β’ Create and implement comprehensive security procedures.
β’ Manage the security administrator team to ensure compliance with client security protocols.
β’ Verify adherence to program security requirements, as well as security systems and procedures.
β’ Coordinate corporate security initiatives and ensure compliance with client, governmental, and company policies.
β’ Provide leadership and mentorship to junior personnel.
β’ Develop, coordinate, and deliver security education programs.
β’ Investigate or supervise investigations into losses and security breaches, recommending corrective measures.
β’ Prepare summaries for senior management review.
β’ Research technological advancements to enhance and align security solutions with industry and company standards.
β’ Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
β’ Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
β’ Experience in a HIPAA environment; Medicaid experience is preferred.
β’ Knowledge of corporate-level security systems and implementation procedures.
β’ Familiarity with corporate and government security regulations.
β’ Experience with company security software products.
β’ Proficient in domain structures, user authentication, user profiles, and digital signatures.
β’ Strong skills in presentation and business solutions software.
β’ Excellent communication abilities.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for the design, creation, and testing of security systems.
β’ Leadership capabilities to guide and mentor junior staff.
β’ Strong research skills.
β’ Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team.
β’ Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and transition between tasks rapidly.
β’ Must be based remotely within the United States.
