This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as a subject matter expert on security protocols and audit adherence.
• Address external audits for SOC 1, SOC 2, and NIST 800-53.
• Assist in threat and vulnerability management efforts.
• Perform regular Identity Access Reviews.
• Ensure application security practices align with business needs and protect information.
• Supervise the implementation of access controls for systems, data, and programs.
• Manage the destruction of highly sensitive confidential information in accordance with policies.
• Create and enforce comprehensive security procedures.
• Lead the security administrator team to ensure adherence to client security protocols.
• Ensure compliance with program security requirements, encompassing personnel, physical, and administrative security systems and processes.
• Coordinate sensitive elements of corporate security initiatives.
• Confirm compliance with policies and government regulations.
• Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced team members.
• Design, coordinate, and deliver security education programs.
• Investigate or oversee investigations of losses and security breaches, recommending corrective actions.
• Execute approved corrective measures and prepare summaries for senior management review.
• Research technological advancements to enhance security solutions continually.
• Bachelor's degree or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Experience in a HIPAA environment; Medicaid experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with corporate-level security systems and implementation methods.
• Knowledge of corporate and government security regulations.
• Experience with company security software products.
• Understanding of domain structures, user authentication, user profiles, and digital signatures.
• Proficient in presentation and business solutions software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for the design, creation, and testing of security systems.
• Leadership qualities to mentor and guide less experienced personnel.
• Robust research skills.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and switch tasks rapidly.
• Video cameras are required for all interviews and during the first week of orientation.
