This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Act as a representative for Flow International Corporation, showcasing its products and services to both new and existing clients.
• Oversee national accounts, select equipment manufacturers, and channel partners such as dealers and agents.
• Foster and sustain long-term business relationships.
• Pinpoint growth opportunities and provide value-driven solutions that align with customer requirements.
• Process orders in accordance with the strategy established by the Vice President of Sales.
• Cultivate customer relationships and manage expectations regarding system purchases, aftermarket service, and support.
• Oversee introductions and transitions for installation, aftermarket services, and escalation procedures.
• Manage the selling activities of channel partners.
• Relay information regarding customers, market trends, competition, applications, market conditions, sales support, and product performance.
• Identify and manage regional accounts and channel partners effectively.
• Deliver sales presentations during initial visits, management briefings, training sessions, and at professional organization events.
• Regularly visit current customers to update them on pertinent new technologies.
• Report customer challenges and successes to the home office and assist in driving improvements.
• Submit weekly reports on expenses, sales forecasts, call logs, itineraries, lost orders, and customer support team updates.
• Facilitate education and training for regional sales representatives and channel partners.
• Potentially supervise technical or application sales staff following their training.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred), Sales/Marketing, Business, or a related combination of education and experience.
• Training and proven experience in value-based selling.
• Knowledge of Flow products/services and competitive offerings.
• At least five (5) years of experience in capital equipment sales.
• A minimum of two (2) years in a sales management role.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite applications.
• High level of analytical ability for resolving complex issues.
• Capability to translate intricate technical concepts into messages tailored for specific audiences.
• Strong business and technical insight.
• Ability to empathize with customers and leverage customer value, including ROI and TCO considerations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while engaging the organization as necessary.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with others and apply feedback.
• Willingness to travel frequently, occasionally for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate clearly, with occasional requirements to stand, walk, sit, reach, and lift/move items weighing up to 10 pounds.
