This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +3 more states.
• Oversee the management of supplier performance at both regional and local levels, which includes scorecards, business reviews, follow-up on corrective actions, and analysis of performance trends.
• Act as the primary escalation point for urgent issues such as material shortages, supplier commitments, responsiveness challenges, capacity limitations, and quality interruptions.
• Facilitate coordination among cross-functional escalation teams that include Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, Program Management, and site leadership.
• Assist in conducting supplier audits, factory visits, process evaluations, and operational assessments.
• Create and oversee recovery plans for high-risk suppliers, detailing action owners, commitment dates, delivery timelines, escalation pathways, and communication schedules.
• Relay information regarding supplier risk, recovery progress, mitigation strategies, and escalation requirements to leadership, customers, suppliers, and executive stakeholders.
• Foster relationships with regional and local suppliers while ensuring accountability for commitments, recovery of deliveries, corrective actions, and enhancement of performance.
• Ensure that regional and local supplier performance processes, escalation protocols, scorecard methodologies, factory visit expectations, and recovery reporting align with global standards.
• Conduct visits to supplier locations for matters concerning escalations, audits, factory assessments, shortage recovery, and supplier development.
• Be prepared to travel a minimum of 50–60% of the month, with potential for exceeding 50% depending on business requirements.
• Execute other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, Quality, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Procurement, Supplier Management, Operations, Quality, Engineering, or a comparable manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with supplier performance management, escalation processes, MRP planning, purchasing, inventory management, shortage recovery, supplier quality, or manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of relevant quality, compliance, and customer requirements within regulated Defense, Medical, and Tech Industrial sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic manufacturing environment driven by escalations.
• Strong facilitation and leadership abilities; adept at guiding cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Proficiency in understanding technical, quality, supply chain, and operational challenges while engaging subject matter experts.
• Well-organized, self-driven team player who can work under pressure and consistently follow up.
• Proficient in creating executive updates, recovery plans, escalation summaries, scorecards, and action trackers.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Proven ability to enhance functional processes, supplier performance systems, escalation playbooks, and performance management tools.
• Commitment to driving initiatives, exercising independent judgment, and fostering sustainable improvements.
• Experience with Kinaxis/Rapid Response, SIOP process management, Oracle ERP, supplier audits, SCAR, 8D, RCCA, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement is preferred.
• Must reside in the United States.
