
Regional Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete finance and accounting operations for 5-10 clinical trial site locations, with the potential for growth as additional sites are established.
• Report directly to the corporate controller and collaborate regularly with operations.
• Manage the monthly accounting close and reporting processes.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages for executive management review.
• Engage with site operations to comprehend and influence revenue drivers.
• Provide budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual revenue analyses by study.
• Collaborate with regional and site operations management on daily accounting issues.
• Execute the annual budget process alongside site directors.
• Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Perform accounting duties in NetSuite adhering to accrual accounting and US GAAP standards, including preparing and posting journal entries.
• Maintain reconciliations between the accounts receivable subsystem and the general ledger.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts receivable and collection processes.
• Oversee accounts payable, including managing the annual 1099 process.
• Supervise centrally performed accounting processes.
• Manage site cash through online banking, including the remittance of excess funds.
• Assist newly acquired or de novo sites with the onboarding process.
• Support audit, tax, and other information requests.
• Assist staff with training and development initiatives.
• Complete other assigned projects as needed.
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred.
• 5-7 years of accounting experience is necessary.
• Experience in managing financials for multiple business units or entities is preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting is essential.
• Hands-on experience throughout the full accounting cycle of a business unit is required.
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with non-accounting professionals.
• Strong Excel skills are essential.
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
