This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Achieve strong and sustainable sales performance while making a significant impact on patients within a designated territory.
• Cultivate clinical and account knowledge related to rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum's Liver product offerings.
• Identify and prioritize customers, accounts, and referral networks with high potential.
• Implement tailored territory and account strategies that promote disease awareness, patient identification, treatment consideration, initiation, and persistence.
• Create territory business plans that align with national, zone, and regional objectives.
• Utilize performance data, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to refine territory strategy.
• Keep accurate customer records, forecasts, expense reports, administrative documents, and business updates.
• Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and care teams within complex accounts.
• Analyze account influence and decision-making processes, set engagement goals, and secure subsequent actions.
• Coordinate compliant actions across field partners within accounts.
• Effectively communicate complex scientific and clinical information in a credible manner.
• Implement approved promotional programs and engage with customers in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Influence stakeholders, manage resistance, and identify gaps along the patient journey.
• Work together with Market Access and Patient Services partners to assist care teams in overcoming patient-support obstacles.
• Highlight recurrent customer, access, and patient-support challenges to internal teams.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, Analytics, and Advocacy.
• Gather actionable insights from the field and contribute to business reviews, training sessions, team meetings, launch preparations, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Demonstrate ownership, initiative, resilience, curiosity, coachability, and a strong commitment to ethical conduct and compliance.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• Experience in rare diseases is highly preferred, especially in hepatology, gastroenterology, pediatric specialty care, or other complex specialty markets.
• Proven ability to consistently achieve business results in a complex specialty, rare disease, orphan drug, or high-science environment.
• Strong clinical aptitude, with the capability to learn, retain, and convey complex information about disease states, diagnostics, mechanisms of action, clinical data, and product details.
• Experience in account-based selling across health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary care teams, referral networks, and influential healthcare professionals.
• Familiarity with access and reimbursement dynamics, patient support pathways, and patient services in rare disease markets.
• Solid business acumen, with the ability to analyze performance data, identify insights, develop territory and account strategies, and translate plans into on-ground execution.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, communication abilities, presentation skills, sound judgment, and the capacity to build trust with sophisticated clients.
• Proven success in cross-functional partnerships with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, and Analytics.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%, including frequent overnight trips and occasional weekend obligations.
