This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee a designated portfolio of Mid-Market accounts and jointly manage the Mid-Market business within the designated territory.
• Develop and implement account strategies from prospecting through to creating and sustaining a revenue pipeline.
• Achieve or surpass sales quotas and objectives while providing accurate forecasts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Engage in face-to-face meetings with customers and partners to uncover and expand opportunities.
• Contribute to team training, forecasting, partner updates, sales initiatives, and recognition programs.
• Generate and monitor leads, renewals, deal registrations, and quotes using Salesforce.com.
• Address inquiries and issues related to customer satisfaction.
• Propel sales processes to closure, build relationships and credibility, and offer presales assistance.
• Collaborate with the Channel Account Manager and reseller partners to drive sales and boost revenue.
• Follow up on leads generated from inbound inquiries, web activity, and corporate events.
• Conduct both inbound and outbound prospecting activities.
• Lead presentations and demonstrations for customers utilizing online platforms such as GoToMeeting.
• Analyze and report on the opportunities being supported.
• Serve as a liaison between partners, customers, and Fortinet teams.
• Undertake additional responsibilities and projects that support business expansion.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Over 1 year of field sales experience in the B2B technology sector.
• Familiarity with the businesses and partners in the local market area.
• Capability to conduct effective customer-facing and partner-facing meetings with timely and relevant follow-up in writing.
• Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales goals and targets.
• Knowledge of the sales cycle and both internal and external business processes.
• Ability to manage and navigate sales cycles from initiation to completion, including managing and forecasting personal quotas.
• Self-motivated and capable of handling a diverse, high-volume workload.
• Quick to establish productive relationships in a dynamic, high-performance setting.
• Proficient with computers.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
• Well-organized with effective time and activity management skills.
• Ability to apply entrepreneurial skills in a proactive and forward-thinking manner.
• Competence in closing business deals while ensuring a high level of satisfaction for customers and partners.
• Professionalism that aligns with Fortinet's core values.
• Must spend over 50% of working time outside the office or home office engaged in sales activities, including necessary travel.
• Experience with public/private cloud environments is advantageous.
• Familiarity with multi-tier distribution is a plus.
• Background in networking, security, and/or public/private cloud is beneficial.
