This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the development, coaching, performance management, and daily operations of a geographically distributed Field Access Manager team.
• Direct field reimbursement initiatives within the designated region to meet patient access goals.
• Monitor field activities, recognize market opportunities and access challenges, and formulate actionable regional strategies.
• Assist healthcare provider offices, enhance account engagement, and elevate patient access results.
• Organize in-field activities to optimize market, segment, and team dynamics.
• Provide guidance, prioritization, coaching, and accountability for regional field operations.
• Perform field visits, ride-alongs, coaching discussions, and performance evaluations.
• Build a high-achieving field-based team by identifying skill deficiencies, creating development plans, and sharing best practices.
• Plan and facilitate plan-of-action meetings and other discussions with corporate leadership.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with training, analytics, compliance, HUB operations, client stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor, educate, and develop both direct and indirect team members.
• Create personalized development plans with measurable objectives and regular progress reviews.
• Convert business priorities, regional access insights, and performance metrics into coaching strategies and team operating rhythms.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in payer policy and product access.
• 7+ years of experience in benefit verifications and/or prior-authorization requirements, or equivalent patient access experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading effective field access/reimbursement teams, including coaching, developing, and managing the performance of field-based team members.
• In-depth understanding of pharmacy and medical benefit product models.
• Familiarity with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and procedures.
• Experience with Medicare Parts B & D coverage.
• Knowledge of specialty markets, HUB/reimbursement services, and patient access programs.
• Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate market dynamics, competitor actions, and ongoing diabetes monitoring trends.
• Ability to collect and interpret data to inform regional strategies, including HUB and patient claims information.
• Proficient in computer applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and video conferencing tools (Teams, Zoom, GoTo Meeting).
• Advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience in Pediatric Endocrinology and/or Endocrinology is preferred.
• Previous experience in an Access/Reimbursement leadership role during product launches is advantageous.
• Experience in other functions within the biopharmaceutical industry is a plus.
