Refrigeration Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PPM), respond to reactive callouts, and conduct emergency breakdown repairs on commercial refrigeration systems.

• Identify and rectify mechanical and electrical issues within refrigeration systems.

• Carry out the installation and commissioning of new refrigeration systems and equipment.

• Ensure adherence to F-Gas regulations, health and safety standards, as well as company protocols.

• Keep precise service records, reports, and documentation through digital job management systems.

• Deliver on-site customer service, engaging with clients, store managers, and contacts from head office.

• Take part in an on-call rota to assist with emergency breakdowns beyond standard working hours.

• Ensure the company vehicle, tools, and equipment are maintained in optimal working condition.

⛳️ Requirements

• F-Gas certification (Category 1) – mandatory.

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.

• Proficiency in CO₂ refrigeration systems (transcritical/subcritical).

• Valid full UK driving licence.

• At least 3 years of experience in commercial refrigeration.

• Preferred experience with retail refrigeration systems.

• Familiarity with leading refrigeration brands (SCM, Hussmann, AHT, etc.).
