This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee all AGFA imaging devices within the designated area
• Diagnose and repair equipment, conduct preventative maintenance, and implement field service bulletins
• Provide assistance to fellow Field Service Engineers outside of the assigned territory when necessary
• Offer insights on technology performance, reliability, serviceability, service quality, and design concerns to the US DR product team
• Plan, execute, and validate installations in collaboration with Project Management and the Installation Team
• Assist sales efforts during pre- and post-sales activities and identify potential DR leads
• Cultivate customer relationships and create action plans for additional AGFA sales, including service contracts, upgrades, professional services, and new equipment
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Agfa DR support, x-ray room systems, and trained OEM products
• Review equipment functionality with customers and meet training commitments during installations
• Address and resolve hardware and software issues to ensure customer uptime and satisfaction
• Develop technical solutions by collaborating with hospital IT administrators, end users, vendors, and support teams
• Optimize uptime, performance, and efficiency of Agfa systems
• Install software and hardware and conduct performance assessments
• Identify issues, confirm system defects, and implement fixes or workaround strategies
• Initiate and adhere to DR/imaging escalation protocols, keeping customers and management updated
• Assist with the installation, upgrades, and implementation of customer systems
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a technology-related field is preferred
• MCSE, Network +, and CIIP Certifications are advantageous
• A minimum of 5 years of prior direct field experience in a technical customer support capacity
• Familiarity with traditional x-ray rooms, digital x-ray equipment and rooms, and computed radiography (CR) systems
• Ideally, 2 to 3 years of experience in an expert or specialist role with x-ray technology
• Some experience with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems is beneficial
• Proficiency with electronic and electromechanical systems is mandatory
• Experience with networking and operating systems
• Knowledge of DR support and experience with x-ray rooms
• Familiarity with Agfa software or similar industry software, along with the ability to learn new technologies
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Lotus Notes, and internet-based knowledge management systems
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated organizational and time management capabilities
• Ability to adapt to change and manage priorities effectively
• Strong customer service orientation
• Previous experience in a global environment with remote locations and virtual teams
• Understanding of the technical services sector, product launch processes, and the healthcare environment
• Must be eligible for overnight travel within the US and Canada
• Must qualify to apply for customer-initiated security clearances such as the US National Agency Check (NAC)
