Electrical Field Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Install, test, and commission electrical systems such as switchgear, transformers, control panels, and power distribution equipment.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to reduce downtime.

• Review and interpret engineering schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.

• Ensure adherence to national and international electrical standards, including NEC, IEC, and IEEE.

• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and contractors for seamless project execution.

• Prepare technical reports, test results, and as-built documentation.

• Conduct both preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

• Enforce safety protocols and quality standards at work sites.

• Provide technical training and mentorship to technicians and junior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• 2–5+ years of field experience, varying by job level.

• Strong knowledge of power systems, protection, and control circuits.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, or similar software applications.

• Familiarity with PLCs, drives, and automation systems is advantageous.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Willingness to travel and operate in field environments.

• Preferred certifications include PE or EIT certification, OSHA Electrical Safety Certification, NFPA 70E / IEC safety training, and HV/LV Switching authorization.
