Red Team Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct the design, implementation, and delivery of Red Team services, encompassing engagement efforts, reporting, and metrics.

• Manage the daily operations of the Red Team.

• Serve as the main point of contact for coordinating Red Team initiatives.

• Oversee and lead penetration testing efforts.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with third-party vendors involved in Red Team projects.

• Prepare reports and mitigation strategies based on Red Team activity results for both management and technical audiences.

• Communicate effectively with executive leadership and technical support teams.

• Create and maintain operational, management, and ad hoc reports to track Red Team performance.

• Organize resources for penetration assessments across operating systems, applications, databases, and network infrastructure components.

• Lead or assist in the development and enhancement of information security programs and resources.

• Provide specialized support to operational teams during enterprise-wide crisis situations, including significant production service outages.

• Collaborate with Sales to define the scope of new customer engagements.

• Function as both an operator and project manager for various Red Team operations.

• Support, manage, and mentor less experienced members of the Red Team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Red Team/Penetration Testing activities is highly preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity is highly preferred.

• Experience managing a tool development life cycle and leading a development team.

• Participation in the security community (such as conference speaker or tool development contributor) is highly preferred.

• Advanced proficiency with Security Assessment Toolsets (e.g., Metasploit, NMAP, Cobalt Strike, Nessus, Burp Suite).

• In-depth understanding of security methodologies, technologies, and best practices.

• Proficient in Windows, Linux, UNIX, and Mac operating systems.

• Advanced knowledge of networking components, including routers, switches, load balancers, and wireless access points.

• Comprehensive understanding of firewalls, proxies, mail servers, and web servers.

• Advanced experience in operational support for operating systems, applications, and networks.

• Extensive experience with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and adversary emulation assessments.

• Advanced skills in automation and scripting for applications and systems.

• Proven track record using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, optimize workflows and processes, boost efficiency, and drive business results.

• Preferred certifications include OSCP, GPEN, OSCE, GCIH, and GXPN.

• Occasional travel may be required (less than 25%).
