This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Establish trusting and nonjudgmental relationships with clients based on shared lived experiences.

• Leverage personal recovery experiences to provide hope, motivation, and accountability.

• Work collaboratively with participants and the Holon care team to create individualized recovery plans.

• Connect clients with community resources, including housing, healthcare, employment, and transportation.

• Conduct strengths-based assessments to determine client needs and aspirations.

• Advocate for clients within the justice system, care system, and other relevant contexts.

• Collaborate with Care Navigators, clinicians, and judicial contacts for integrated care.

• Keep updated on best practices in peer support and recovery-oriented care.

• Ensure confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.

• Contribute to new initiatives and engagement strategies as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A person in sustained recovery with a minimum of one year of lived experience (strongly preferred).

• Certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS) or Peer Recovery Coach.

• Highly empathetic, possessing strong listening and communication skills.

• Knowledgeable about the realities of recovery and the obstacles clients may encounter.

• Dedicated to upholding professional boundaries and ethical standards.

• Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Aligned with Holon’s principles of equity, inclusion, and holistic care.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.

• Certification as a Peer Recovery Coach or PRS in the state of Virginia (national certification from an accredited agency like NAADAC is also accepted).

• 1–2 years of experience in a peer support role is strongly preferred.

• Lived experience or a close connection to someone in recovery is highly valued.

• Experience working with justice-involved populations is advantageous.

• Some evening availability may be required to meet client needs across different time zones.
